Flow Rate

A term used to determine the amount of water that flows past a certain point within a specified amount of time. Gallons per minute is the usual measurement and is known as gpm.

A 10,000-gallon pool with medium usage needs to have a flow rate of 20.8 gpm for proper turnover.
